Something’s different in the California Real Estate Market
Can you feel it? I can! There seems to be a bit of a different pulse in my Real Estate market anyway. Maybe it is just me but it seems like it is easier to show properties now….Yes I know they are mostly all vacant but now most the agents have a universally used lockbox that everyone has their own code for. I no longer have to call 15 agents and leave messages the day before in hopes that they will call me back and share with me their coveted code to a very insecure lockbox. Insecure in terms of the property not the actual lockbox, I mean maybe a lockbox can be insecure but that is a totally different story.
Another thing that is happening is when you do write an offer on a property and you call the listing agent (are you ready for this?) one of two things happens, they either answer their phone or they call you back in an hour or so!
I am beginning to walk around the office again with a smile and a cheery good morning! I have always been a beleiver that the day brings you what you expect and I haven’t really expected this. Could it be that cause and effect is an actuality? Could it be that my ever present positive attitude with just a hint of bitching has globally affected the market that I work in? Or is it just me?
I don’t think we really want or need the answer. I think I will just skip out of my office pour another cup of coffee, greet a few people with a huge smile and a warm “good morning” and work the market that has always been here.
