Hey we closed escrow now what?
Whether your client is a first time buyer , seller or they are repeat performers, what is the one thing most REALTORS and clients forget to do at closing? Transfer utilities in their name and get a change of address completed at the post office. So, what I always do before every closing is give our clients a handy little list with all the numbers to the various Utility Companies they will need to contact to make sure they do not have a disruption in service. I Hate when that happens! This is one of the easiest ways to make sure you (The REALTOR) look like the absolute professional and quite easy to do.
Also, (REALTORS) always make sure your client understands that if anything should go haywire or screwy (technical talk) with anything around their new home or if they just have a general question that they are expected and welcome to call you. Just another simple way for you the REALTOR to be what we call “front of mind” whenever your client or their friends and relatives think Real Estate.
